Terms of Service

As a customer of Hyper O2 and by using the hyperbaric oxygen facilities provided by Hyper O2, you (clients and customers will be referred to as “you” in this agreement) agree to the following terms and conditions in full:

1.Term

This agreement shall remain in effect for the duration of your use of our facilities at Hyper O2.

2. Medical Disclaimer

The hyperbaric chambers used at Hyper O2 are provided for wellness and recovery purposes only. They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Hyper O2 does not prescribe or make any conclusions regarding the efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for any specific purpose or condition. None of the information provided by Hyper O2, or contained on this website or within our facility, constitutes medical advice.

The benefits and uses

described on this website or within our materials are suggestions based on publicly available medical literature and general wellness information. Any references to studies, research or potential benefits are provided for educational and informational purposes only and should not be interpreted as medical claims or guarantees of outcome.

Individual results may vary and no specific outcomes are promised or guaranteed.

You should consult your doctor if you have any doubts regarding the suitability of hyperbaric oxygen sessions for you.

You understand that Hyper O2 does not imply that the administration of hyperbaric oxygen sessions is intended to prevent, treat, or cure any disease. The claims, studies and articles referenced do not suggest that the same result will be experienced by another person receiving the same treatment.

All chambers at Hyper O2 are operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and recommended servicing and maintenance requirements to ensure safe and proper operation.

3. Use of Services

You confirm that you are not aware of any physical conditions that would preclude you from undertaking this therapy. If you have any doubts, concerns, or questions, you will, prior to undertaking such therapy, consult your doctor.

You understand that it is your sole responsibility to inform Hyper O2 of any changes to your medical status or medications each time you receive treatment.

4. Risk Assumption

You acknowledge that the use of hyperbaric oxygen involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Lung damage or collapse

  • Injury or rupture of the middle ear due to fluid build-up

  • Sinus damage (usually caused by sinuses blocked by mucus or tissue)

  • Temporary changes in vision such as myopia (near-sightedness)

  • Seizures

  • Lowered blood sugar in diabetics treated with insulin

You must inform Hyper O2 staff immediately during your session if you experience any discomfort or unusual sensations.

The most common side effect during treatment is ear discomfort due to changes in pressure, similar to that experienced on an airplane. This is usually relieved by equalising the pressure using a technique called the Valsalva manoeuvre. Any ear pain must be addressed immediately and it is your responsibility to inform staff during your treatment.

5. Voluntary Participation

You acknowledge that your participation in hyperbaric oxygen sessions at Hyper O2 is voluntary and that you choose to undertake these sessions at your own discretion.

You confirm that you have had the opportunity to ask questions and that you understand the nature of the service being provided.

You accept full responsibility for your participation and any outcomes that may arise from your use of Hyper O2 facilities.

6. TGA and Regulatory Statement

Hyper O2 provides hyperbaric oxygen sessions as a wellness and lifestyle service. The services provided are not a substitute for medical treatment or medical supervision.

Hyper O2 does not claim that its services are approved by or regulated as a medical treatment by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Clients seeking treatment for a medical condition should consult a qualified medical practitioner.

7. Liability Waiver

In consideration of using our hyperbaric oxygen services, you hereby waive any and all claims, demands, and causes of action against Hyper O2 and its employees, including but not limited to negligence, breach of contract, breach of warranty, or breach of statutory duty arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our services.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions and consenting to treatment you acknowledge that you understand, accept and assume all of the risks mentioned herein, including but not limited to any other complication, injury, or damage resulting from your hyperbaric oxygen sessions at Hyper O2.

8. Restrictions of Use

The following conditions are contraindicated for hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Hyper O2:

  • Pneumothorax (treated or untreated)

  • Severe or untreated asthma

  • Eustachian tube dysfunction

  • Claustrophobia

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

  • Seizure disorders

  • Pregnancy

  • Heart problems

  • Congenital spherocytosis

  • Pacemaker or epidural pump

  • Fever

  • Infectious disease

  • Symptoms of cold/flu or respiratory infection

  • Sinus infection

By agreeing to these terms and conditions and consenting to undergo hyperbaric oxygen sessions at Hyper O2 you declare, unconditionally, that you do not have any of the conditions listed above.

You agree to disclose any concerns, physical, mental or otherwise with Hyper O2 prior to any treatment. You accept that Hyper O2 may at any time, for any reason, request a letter from your doctor stating that you are deemed medically safe to undergo hyperbaric oxygen sessions.

9. Payment and Cancellation Policy

Payment for services must be made at the time of booking if booking online. Refunds will only be offered for cancellations made 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time.

10. Late Arrivals

If you arrive late to your appointment you agree that your appointment time may be reduced. Your total appointment time will not exceed 1 hour and 10 minutes. Hyper O2 reserves the right to cancel your appointment if you arrive more than 20 minutes late.

11. Confidentiality

Any personal information you provide will be kept strictly confidential and will only be used for the purpose of providing hyperbaric oxygen services.

By signing this document you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions and accept them for the duration of your use of Hyper O2 facilities.
